Is this what they call "reidman"?
What is "reidman"?
No, it is not Reidman.
Frankie, Reidman is a type of amber; being named Rediman does not mean it is red; me, too, i have not a profound expertise in this type. But i know people who deal in it.
Thanks so much, Faysal. Are you able to describe the reidman type of amber?
I am sure I have seen it but haven`t known that name. I have tried internet searches for it but they don`t help.
Reidman is transparent and very smooth; it has a very beautiful roundness and it is most of the time not curvy; i mean it is perfectly rounded; it allows some light in and it reflects a a certain redness and orangesess and yellowness, but not red as such; it is lively; i have some of it, if you are interested in it, i'll will take some pictures.
How kind - I would love to see some photos, if you have time, Faysal. It`s just out of interest though - I cannot buy any.
It sounds a bit liked pressed amber. Do you know if it comes from one particular place?
