It seems this is a bead from Afghanistan, Baluch, and not Ethiopian. It was sold to me as Ethiopian by a seller who only sells African stuff. Am quite disappointed, but wanted to put it right.
I guess these beads travel, Eva. It's very beautiful and I rememeber that the price was good (I was looking at it as well :-)).
