This is lovely Marie-Ange. At first I thought it was one of your Tibetan collars... the shape looks quite similar. Is Antwerp a good place to find ethnic jewellery?
Thelma, - Have not followed the discussion, but yes, Antwerp does have at least one good shop which sells ethnic jewellery, though I forget the name. Brussels is a very important centre for our subject, with both noted collectors and dealers there.
Thanks, Joost. I remembered that Marie Ange said she had bought the necklace in Antwerp. I've just been trying to put together a picture of where the main centres of interest are in Europe and elsewhere. It would be an interesting map. I know Amsterdam, Paris, Lille, and Brussels as you mentioned. But Antwerp was new to me. I imagine that the map is already well known to many members.
Here is one important link to a good shop in Antwerp: Daroun Gallery; it does not just sell jewellery, but they almost always have some - and often very good stuff: http://www.daroungallery.com/daroungallery%20en/jewelry/jewelry%20e...
Thanks for the link, Joost. It looks interesting.
Yes Thelma, Antwerp is a nice place also to find some ethnic jewelry but not as much as in the past!
