Beautifully worn! Where is this piece from, please?
Hi Betty, it is one that I collected in Ethiopia, been in my own collection of rings but decided to sell some as my collection is getting too big and I can't wear them all! I just love the fine detail. I have only ever seen the same inlay/overlay filigree in wedding rings and bangles. Possibly from Tigray?
Lovely! I recently posted an Ethiopian resin bead with a silver fitting with similar filigree work (most likely from Harar). The ring might be from Tigray, but Harar would also be possible . Maybe our Ingrid can advise?
