Fine artwork and very precise edge and grooves which perfectly ensures the closure of the bracelet.
Looks beautiful piece.. I would be interesting to know where it is from? Congratulations for the piece., Mustafa
Yes Nada, I do recognize this bracelet. as far as the photo allows, but it is a bracelet from Ethiopia, precisely from the Wollo area. Like most of them they should be in pair, and very often in the small size as they are engagement bracelets and often of a lower silver content. Gr Ingrid.
Dear Nada, One more thing there are good silver cuffs in this type and than they are from the Jimma area and have clasps like this. I was going to photo some of them, but cannot find them right now. I am going to check for an excisiting photo or else, you will see shortly. Ingrid
Dear Ingrid and Mustafa
Thank you so much for your replies. Ingrid it is so exciting for me to have found the origin of this lovely bracelet. It does not test as silver, so then it would be from the Wollo area. I had never seen this lovely closure before. It is so precise and such a snug fit. Thanks again for your help.
