The ‘Yörük’ are a Turkish group of people, some of whom are (semi-)nomadic, primarily inhabiting the mountains of Anatolia and partly Balkan peninsula. Yörük maintain in general some association with nomadic life, are poorer (mostly) than average, and all of them are Sunni (unlike the Türkmen, who can be Alevi).
