Top: From Van, probably from an Armenian workshop. 15 (partly gilt) silver plaques affixed to each other with 2 leaves, and decorated with hob-nail medallions (floral & relief motifs). Filigree buckle, with 2 stamps (the silversmith's & 'Van'). 83 cm long.Bottom: From the Safranbolu area. Gold gilded silver with a 3-piece buckle, locking with a hook. Adorned with a total of 91 corals. Body contains 112 metal plaques decorated with hob-nails and affixed to a leather belt. 83 cm long. (both: Ankara Ethnographic Museum).
