  • Belongs to Joost and Truus Daalder. Please acknowledge you source, thanks!

  • I am glad to see the piece appear as a featured photo. It is one of those which we are particularly pleased to have, and we live with it every day, as we have it on view. It is silver-gilt (if it was gold we would, alas, feel we'd have to put it in a bank, secure though our house is). We bought it a number of years ago from Linda Pastorino as one of our first truly major Uzbeki pieces. I have posted the piece a few times on our Facebook page "Ethnic Jewellery and Adornment", and it always attracts attention. We do not in the least object to other people using images which we publish, but we do expect the source to be mentioned.

  • This photo was originally posted by myself on this  very sight! as in other pieces that were listed here by Tugce!

  • If Tugce borrowed the photo from you here, Linda, that makes matters even more comical. I just cannot see why she does not acknowledge her source! She does, as far as I can see, also look at our page on FB, which is why I thought she got the image from that (we use your photo there, too, when showing the public what is now our piece). I don't imply that she didn't get it directly from you, but whichever way it went, it should really be a policy of posters to provide their source if they possibly can.
