  • I think the hallmark in top right is a rams head, but I can't read the others.

  • The rams head is for 1925

it will have a tiny F or M in the corner.

you will need a loupe to see it!

  • the bottom one to the right reads "AZEMMOUR" a sea side city south of casablanca that was famous for sheltering a sizeable jewish community.

usually this hallmark is accopanied by what is considered to be the "AMIN'S" stamp or the smiths' chief stamp: often a dove, a rooster head or a star inside a crescent:.....the hallmark to the left could be either one of these with advanced signs of wear.

The khamsas of Azemmour and to a lesser extent those bearing the hallmarks of El jadida and Casablanca are easily recognisible, they all bear those 2 half circles in form of big flowers.

Nice one Toya, but as you may know , khamsas this size were not hanging for fibula chains, and even if all the material here is super old and genuine, the arrangement bears once again the marrakech dealers fingerprints!!hahaha

  • Thank you Sarah and Ayis for helping with this.
