Southeast Asia is rich in a variety of beautiful beads. Some were made in Southeast Asia, others arrived there through trade. Combining the materials and periods (from neolithic times to the periods of the early Hindu and Buddhist kingdoms), yields beautiful results. One can't help but think that people were combining in this way many centuries ago. Beads are remarkable in the way they cross space and time and still "sing" together.
