Jose, please tell us the history of this find. Did you buy this in Djerba? Did you obtain it from a collector? Have you had it for a while or is it a new purchase -- Something this wonderful deserves a little collector history.
Exquisite filigree work! I personally prefer silver over gold, but this piece has really won me over!
Thank you all for you nice comments. Yes, it is truly a wonderful piece. I must thank you fellow member Chantal for having generously put this piece on my way and ... let me have it. It comes from a person that bought in Djerba some forty years ago. It would have been used as a wedding ornament. I wish I had found myself something like this when I was in Djerba some 12 years ago or so. I am afraid though that I did not spend time enough in Djerba and I was not on ethnic jewels then. I am attaching below some further pictures of it.
