Selsela Head Ornament

A silver selsela chain with coins ranging in date from 1881 to 1939. These ornaments are hooked to the head scarf with the triangular shaped hooks. I believe it is worn according to the woman's mood either across the top of the head, across the forehead, or even behind the head.

    Despite seeing many photos of Tunisian women wearing these, I have yet to see a publication describing this type of head ornament.  It seems to have been very common, but this is the first complete assemblage I have ever come across.  I don't know if it has a specific name.
