again Eva, here is how the combes are worn by the men. They do spend a lot of time on themselves preeening. There are some beautiful action photos of the Afars in Angela Fishers'second book African Ark.
@Ingrid - thank you so much! Very nice and interesting to see! I have one book by Angela Fisher, but never heard of the one you mention. Good to know, when I have more time, I will try to look for it.
Ingrid is right, Fishers "Afrikan Ark" is quite an interesting bbok for anyone interested in Ethiopia. It was also published in German as "Unbekanntes Africa" and focuses on the wider Horn region, though not exclusively on adornments.
