Oman: Anklets or Bracelets?

A matching pair, the inside opening measures 2-1/2" dia., ext. circumference is about 4-12" dia. Are these a child's anklets or bracelets?

    I should add that these were purchased in Sharjeh, so I am not sure if they are from Oman or somewhere else along the coastline.  My understanding is that the culture in what is now the UAE was essentially Omani in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

    Yes these are anklets from Oman, young girls start wearing them already. Lovely pics can be seen in "Oman Adorned".
