This is wonderful, I love this style of necklace. Where did you get it? I have seen this attributed both as Yemeni and Saudi. In one of Heather Coyler Ross' books she has a photo of a jeweler making a spectacular new one in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the 1970s.
Dear Lynn; Many thanks for your message. I am buying them here in Jordan - always from the same dealer. I have reserved another such piece with the same dealer - it is huge, much larger than this unit, also high silver and features open works - very nice. The problem with these necklaces is the display and storage. When I saw this photo, I was trying to remember in which showcase or on which table, etc. etc. I am currently displaying this particular unit. Quite frankly, I forgot it and now can't hardly wait to go back to my home in coming February to look for it - I know that it is somewhere...! Regards. Peter
