Beautiful necklace. I like the deep, rich colors of the coral and turquoise.
Thank you Toya. I do have a soft spot for old coral and these are very nice.
Love it!
This is beautiful, Cecilia. Love the colours. Is Stockholm a good place to find ethnic jewellery?
Thank you Betty and Thelma. Well Thelma Stockholm seems to hold some treasures to be found but there are no dealers specialized in ethic jewellery. Most of my things are found as oddities among the European stuff in regular antiques shops, with exception of a friendly afghan dealer who occasionally has some older pieces. As Sweden is a small country there are no large shows to visit and I do miss the opportunity to be able to have more to choose from.
Very nice necklace. You are very lucky to have been able to find this.
Yes Howah, it was a lucky find. It appeared from a plastic bag in drawer behind the counter when the seller realized I liked 'oriental stuff'. As I have now searched the internet it does not seem so easy to find Mongolian pieces. I like that it is so intact and seems to have its original stringing.
