Ait, what is the leather and metal pouch that lies against the sword? Is it a gris-gris? It looks as if it has something inside.

thelma, yes it is an amulet or gris-gris as you wrote :-)

i know themas dogon,sometimes fulani use the same. it is definetly from Mali. the caravane man comes from there.

I don't know if I am referring to the right things. I see two engraved leather pieces which end in metal rings. Are those gris gris and are those dogan?
