  • It's fabulous, fantastic colors... I just love it!!

  • Very nice piece Betty, warm, beauty in its sober decoration.

  • Beautiful.

Yess i would vote for Syrian as well.

"Yusuf" is written on the back

  • A lovely piece, Betty. I like the wire work. Is it hollow?

  • Dear Betty; What a lovely necklace. I have seen this shape and size of amulets also in Yemeni jewelry. There, they would have usually at least 3 of these large pendants arranged. Unfortunately, I never came across a nice version of those. I really like this piece. It has lived and the beautiful stones and beads are complimenting it so well. With kind regards. Peter
  • Thank you everyone -especially for the translation, Alaa! Does it mean it was worn by a man, or is Yusuf the maker?

It's not three dimensional Thelma, just a flat triangular piece. Unfortunately the loops for the dangles have been broken off,  but I agree with Peter, it has lived and that is what makes it attractive.
