  • Fabulous! Love the pendants especially the circular one - toucouleur? And that bracelet is wonderful. Other bracelets of this type I've see have much larger knobs but this one seems to have finer/smaller ones. How heavy is it?

    yeah the pendant if from the toucouleur/sarakhollé around the lower senegal river valley.

    as for the bracelet it is from south mauritania with a very masterful work and the bigger knobs are all carved. it weights around 225 grams and has this lovely caracteristic of the old style work...being not a perfect circle.
  • These are just gorgeous. Very fine filigree work on the pendants- I've never seen a three-tiered bracelet like this before
