  • Yes, we are absolutely delighted to have bought this from you and to own it. We think it is possibly the most important piece of ethnic jewellery, as a cultural object, that we own, because of its age, quality, spiritual depth, artistry, and rarity (not necessarily in this order). When I post it on Facebook there are always some deep admirers, but  it is not a "popular" piece. Many viewers clearly want something more joyous. Well, we think that is their problem. We like joyous things too, but don't in the least mind if this is something that only appeals, truly, to a minority.

  • Glad I could read more about this piece on the comment below by Joost. I like it, and as Joost commented, because of its age, quality, spiritual depth etc..... Must be unique in its kind, have to look at the other pic too. What is the size of the pendant? (It looks huge, but photos can sometimes give a wrong impression)

  • Eva, - It IS huge, i.e. 17.5 x 17.5 cm square. And the central dome is 6 cm high. It's a massive piece - very appropriate for its purpose: it was put on an image of the Buddha at full moon.

  • Joost, thank you for the information of size, impressive!  -  also the height.
