Silver ‘tepelik’ (metal cover of a woman’s hat). From western Anatolia, ca. 1900. Purchased in Bursa, in 1998. With embossed floral motifs in a six-pointed star. The six-pointed star (‘Davut Yıldızı’ = Star of David) was used by Muslims and Christians, and during the 19th century increasingly by the Jews also.
