Traditional head jewel for women, used in bridal/festive headgear. From western Anatolia, ca. 1900-1925. Silver(y) metal and glass paste. The ornament is fixed on the felt hat by seewing; the jewel is generally named ‘alınlık (= ‘thing for the forehead’). (Inv.n° müç037 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
