Large traditional headscarf (called 'çekili yazma') from the Bergama region. Part of the festive female costume of the Üsküdarlı Tahtacı, 1975-2000. Made of white cotton. Square; one corner is adorned with ribbons of different colours, metal sequins, glass beads and multicoloured tassels in silky cotton; two long and similarly decorated extensions ('çeki') start from the adjacent corners and will fall down on the woman's back.
