Kurdish festive headgear – Hakkâri (Turkey).

Traditional festive headgear (called ‘kôfi’) from the Hakkâri province. Kurdish. This ‘kôfi’ (dating from c. 1940) consists of a cap with long hair-imitation attached to it, and a large black & silver headscarf adorned with coloured tassels; all parts are made of silk.
