  • these are definitely earrings, not bracelets  (you probably wrote this to the other photo with the bracelet), and typically Peul (Fulani).  In earlier times they used to be gold (Mali used to have gold, am not sure if it is still exploited or not at present), nowadays perhaps another material (you say it is brass). It looks awfully nice, but if brass, it will have to be polished very often. Love the wood on which it is displayed!

  • Eva thank you, they are the earings on the photo of the girl in festival.

    the earings are more famous than the bracelet and necklace. the form is more than 1000 yeras and they were made on gold. there is until now in the mopti, bandiagara, sadila and djenné regions
