Hairband with tassels. From southeastern Anatolia, probably Kurdish, ca. 1950. Used in bridal/festive headgear. Forehead band: cotton & metallic thread, 25 cm wide. Plaited cord (yellow & orange silk): 36 cm long. 36 multicoloured silk tassels (11 cm long). Total length (cord + tassels): 110 cm. (Inv.n° saç007 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
