Linda, I have got a similar hairpin but no amathyst but glaspaste. Mine is said to be from China. There exist antique examples that are smaller but a bit similar made.
yes same exactly. Do you know where in China/ Which group were you told? I have seen these also with Mongolian style Turquoise. In the old days i thought they were Mongolian but i think there are so many groups that are differing, I would avoid identification until I knew for sure. Yours is very nice. Some must have had Coral also , since yours looks like that too.
I made a mistake: it was sold to me as Mongolian.
I must have pictures (on paper) some were of the antique ones. If I do find them I will list them.
