Glass Beads

Can anyone provide additional information on these? Despite the North African motifs, I think that they were manufactured in Europe for export. Does anyone know approximate manufacture date? I am guessing early 20th century.

  • most of these that i can see are Czech moulded discs (some with typical islamic motifs), triangles, diamond and ovals the earliest of which go back to the 1920s-30s when they were exported to muslim areas for prayer beads ("Tasbia")and pilgrimage souvenirs. Recently some of the old forms were revived and newer beads made with the same moulds, or copies.
