Le donne berbere confezionano i loro gioielli come tessono e ricamano i loro abiti. Esse acquistano in pezzi sciolti monete, pendenti d'argento, lapis, corallo, corniole e altri elementi secondo la regione,che assemblano poi con ago e filo dando vita a collane originali e diverse. Oggi gioielli così non si trovano più sul mercato, sono stati rimpiazzati da collane senza originalità, uguali in ogni parte del paese, qualche pezzo si può vedere ancora nelle vetrine dei musei.

  • Very interesting necklace,very much similar to what was worn in Libya. In fact I  think some of the pendants in this necklace are Tripoli hallmarked " I mean the main one in the center"  . This is an indication of  heritage similarities as well as exchange between these neighboring  areas through history.
