A digital archive showcasing the extensive collection of jewellery and adornment images shared on the former Ethnic Jewels Ning site over the years. These images have significantly enriched discussions on cultural adornment and its global dispersion.

Silver (partly gilt) filigree belt, for women. Late-Ottoman, c. early 20th century. Geographic origin uncertain. Consisting of seven segments. The buckle is adorned with a semi-precious stone; four of the segments have a glass stone in their center; the fifth lost his original glass stone, which was replaced by a turquoise; the last segment has no stone. Purchased in Istanbul, in 1992. (Inv.n° müç024 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
