Festive headgear – Beypazarı / Turkey.

A large ‘yazma’ (head scarf) from Beypazarı (85 km west of Ankara). The embroidery is machine made and produced in a semi-artisan manner in a local workshop. Purchased in Beypazarı in 1994. (Inv.nr. yaz067 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
