Traditional festive headgear of an Üsküdarlı Tahtacı woman, from the Bergama region. Consisting in a large white headscarf (adorned with coloured ribbons, metallic sequins, glass beads & silk tassels), two smaller scarves, a forehead band, a chin band and temple ornaments; the latter three are adorned with metal sequins and/or glass beadwork. Clothing style: ca. 1970. The Tahtacı are Alevi Türkmen. (Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
