A digital archive showcasing the extensive collection of jewellery and adornment images shared on the former Ethnic Jewels Ning site over the years. These images have significantly enriched discussions on cultural adornment and its global dispersion.

An embroidered vest (called ‘sarka’) from the central and Seyitgazi districts of the Eskişehir province. Part of the traditional bridal/festive costume. Made ca. 1960. A remainder of the so-called ‘Bahriye’-style (= ‘Navy’), which was popular in Istanbul in the early 20th century. Silver thread embroidery on silk; ‘kordon tutturma’ technique/applied cord.
