  • Hi Veronica,

Very unusual style (to me at least). It almost looks  like a modern piece. These jewels must become very valuable  now that they cant be obtained from Yemen (and it may be a long time before they can  get again to the Western market).

  • Hola Chantal, yes it´s a traditional piece, it was sold to me as a necklace, but it´s headband. I was in love with it for years, wearing it for special occasions, and last year I sold it.  Yes, it will take time to go to Yemen, I think this will help to revalue these jewels as you said. I´m already missing my trips there!!xx
  • It's fun to see people notice when we wear a Yemen headband.  They are very beautiful, and it is such a rare ornament in the Western World.
  • Hi Anne, It´s incredible how yemeni women they carry a lot of weight on their head, the headband with the mashagar pendants can be around a kilogram! I saw you have beautiful yemeni necklaces on your page.xx
