thank you for the answer and the beautiful picture. I like the motive with the crosslike drawing and the green colours. They have a special name, but I forgot (the green colour).
the green one is called " le vert de kanu "
Kanu is a verry old , nice and beautiful city in nord nigeria. many touareg live there. kanu was famous with the trade beads and african beads too. was a time the beggest market for jewelery seller and maker.
the hebron beads in africa, almost all came throw kanu. this green leather is still until now made in kanu
The city you mention is quite famous, in German named "Kano". I think the general term for the green colour (it just came to my mind, I did NOT yet look for it) is called "Idalin" (am not sure, what do you think?). Kind regards
The name is Kano in English too. Fifty years ago it was my dream to visit it. The name had such romantic connotations in my mind. Then, I missed the chance. Now, I would not dare to try. So sad.
