I love these, they are among my favourites of Ethiopian necklaces - so simple and elegant.
The very thouhgt to be able to find and afford 5 of them makes me dizzy :-)
These necklaces are originally about 120cm, but before they were brought into Addis the brokers had re-strung them shorter, with at least 1/3 bad ,nickel, beads and, so by the time you have a full length necklace it had already become rather costly. But they are timeless. I love them and do have several in under my jewellery. I often just long with a knot laid into it. (2 strings p.e.)
wonderful! If I could afford 5, I would buy and wear them at once!
Two is enough weight!
I really enjoyed seeing your Pictures of Ethiopian jewellery, have not seen much of it lately (partly also my fault, as I was out of Connection), when looking at your photos I realized that I had missed it!
