A digital archive showcasing the extensive collection of jewellery and adornment images shared on the former Ethnic Jewels Ning site over the years. These images have significantly enriched discussions on cultural adornment and its global dispersion.

Traditional bridal costume from the Ínönü district of Eskişehir town. Circa 1990. The clothing style goes back to c. 1900, and is part of the cultural inheritance of Muslim emigrants from Macedonia. The costume was still in use in the late 1990s. The base of the dress are a heavily embroidered long-sleeved vest (called ‘sarka’) + very wide hand-embroidered baggy trousers (called ‘pesent’).
