  • This is fantastic!  I love the stylized hands and the plaques with the birds.  Is it a braid ornament?

  • Very nice one, these are the rarest style (and most impressive) tunisian belt buckles. I am yet to find how these were worn as i have owned one for many years, but couldn't find a picture of it being worn....in my reference books, they say its use was long abandonned, or maybe it was worn in very special occasions? for i can hardly see any woman walking by in her daily life in total comfort with this impressive adornment!

  • Dear Lanajnaj; What a beautiful piece of jewelry. It must have been very impressive when worn! Congratulations. Peter
  • Thank you for the compliments, I am Tunisian and I had never seen such a Holga except in a book, but I did not think that she would have that size! Najet
