Bead ID please

These beads are a recent acquisition and as bead are not a strong point of mine, I would welcome any input. They were sold as Qajar Dynasty Persian beads. The beads do show great wear, some more than others.

  • They are beautiful. They look like the wound glass beads made in Venice +/- 1850 that were used in the Islamic world. 

  • Could it be what they used to call Venetian Red feathers (although the beads here are black....)? But I dont know much about beads, experts may want to clarify.............
