Antique Belt - Afghanistan - Opinions?

The silver plates are featuring a rather simple design. I believe that this belt is very old. It was bought in Afghanistan.

Are you sure it is silver, i rather see some damascene work...

Dear Ala'a; Many thanks for your message. The surface looks very much like silver and surely cleans like silver. However, I am sure that it is only plated and that the belt itself is most probably iron or similar. Regards. Peter
