Amber chain of the Addarre ladies, Ethiopia,Harrar

An amber collectors necklace of amber which are worn by the nobility women of Harrar town, the Addarre. These necklaces can be as long as 150 cm. Graduating as much as a small pigeon egg. At the end it has either a large dark colored silk tassle or like in this case a Maria Theresa Thaler. I found this photo by change on Etsy and it belongs to a friend of mine who owns an ethnic jewels museum in Seoul but she bought this of me about 20 yrs or so of me in Ethiopia.

    No Zhuwenfeng, first place I do not have them any more and they are expensive items.  Collectors items and rare!

    Plain and simple with excellent quality. Combinations of amber and silver serve to bring out the best qualities of both in my opinion. Lovely, Ingrid!
