The Amulet case - "Taviz"Opens, inside - hollow space filled with wax.Kashmir, Pakistan, mid-second half of 20th centuryMetal alloy, traditionally obtained by melting old jewelry and coins called in Afghanistan and Pakistan Alpaka or Gillit, consisting of Nickel, zinc, copper and tin in different proportions mixed with silver,chasing-repousse, handmadeSize - 71/70/11 mmWeight - 85 gObviously this amulet was part of a necklace, which had a protective function consisting of three such elements.Taviz (amulet case).From the Arabic "Ta`widh" (charm, amulet). Horizontally or vertically oriented hollow pendant for the attachment of protective texts with a removable cap on the end. The term is also used to refer to pendants the same shape from metal or stone.
