  • very interesting, and great to learn !
  • These knives are worn by young initiates. They remove the leather edge guard then spar and fight with the bracelets and ring knives. They do cut each other in their endeavors to show their strength and power!
    From memory I think the ceremony is described in Angela Fischer and Carol Beckworth's book Africa Adorned
