This is really difficult, if one has to choose ONE only! But, I made my choice. It is this bracelet from the Sahara (Mauritania), which I am wearing every day, no matter where I go. I love it so much, that I secured the lock with a little wire, because I tend to lose just my favourite pieces while wearing them ..........
The piece of jewelry I am always searching for and have never found is a silver and niello necklace made by a Circassian silver smith from Jordan. I have a double dress from Salt and very much would like a piece of jewelry to go with it. I worked in Jordan off and on for several years, but found these pieces to be very rare. Not surprising since Jordan was only a collection of small villages at the time the old Circassian smiths were making their jewelry!

Thanks for your 'tip'. I've seen the Mongolian headdress on trocadero you mention. It's nice, but actually not that desirable for me. Somehow it just doesn't do it for me which I imagine sounds weird given my love affair with all things Mongolian. The shop is actually located in Amsterdam which is an hour away by train for me. I should visit the shop someday to see it in person. Linda has recently posted some fabulous sold items, including some Mongolian headdresses I really like.
Re Harald, there is a Mongolian headdress currently for sale on trocadero.com -- no price specified which is always terrifying, but many pics and contact information.
