I purchased this wonderful necklace, and I have no idea what the writing or decorations are on the 3 silver pieces. I tested what metal parts I could without damaging it and it is a very high content of silver - the one reason I think I was able to get it is because it has a spot of what looks to be copper on the mail metal bead. So I do think it's coin silver. If anyone has any knowledge of what this is, I'd be so grateful for the education! Thanks!

Hi Lynn! I will start researching using some of the ideas you have on this. I'm really fascinated with it. I was so lucky to get this....found it moments after it was listed. The man that I bought it from wrote that he had purchased it from a woman who had traveled through India, which was something I forgot to add. I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you think!
Ann, this is a lovely necklace. I believe it is Indian. I have seen similar markings on pieces from Gujarat but perhaps an expert will provide better identification. The central pendant looks like a caping / loin cover for children, but it is very large and matches the other pendants so I am not sure whether that is what it is. A lovely piece, congratulations on a great buy!
