I just bought some gorgeous, long buried glass beads. They have a thick, uneven, iridescent patina. Can anyone tell me how to care for these beads? I'd heard it's important to keep them dry. I'll post a photo if I can. Thanks!

You are welcome to mention that I suggested the site, people are very knowlegable and friendly there.
The patina on your beads will be metals which have oxidized from within the glass, I am sure that someone at the beads forum will help you with the info.
Another suggestion, you may wish to contact Jamey Allen through the member list of this forum , he is a world class expert on beads and was involved in museum collections in the USA .
