  • Hi Sarah
We went over the itinerary last night. We have a time share so are locked in to our accomodation plans. We will be booked into a condo for that week beginning November 26.

As this is our first trip to Morocco, and he really isnt interested in jewelry, hewould pre to have a look at other parts of thecountry. I would like to participate in one of your explorations at the end of your tour for half a day ifyou are amenable. If you arent, I fully understand. As this is an interest of mine not a profession, I suspect that I am nowhee as dicated as everyone else. Otherwise if you have suggestions for where to find belt buckles - my current obsession, I would appreciate it.

I am hoping we will be as fond of Morocco as we are of Egypt. If things wer a little bit more settled we would be going the for the fourh time. We like to wander the streets, take photos and avoid the pharonic sites.
    Best wishes,
    Becky
  • Hi Becky,

It is fine to bring a partner.

My husband will be in Marrakech during the tour, He will not be taking part in any of the tour itinerary, but knows Marrakech very well and I am sure he would be happy to show people some non jewellery ideas too.

There is another guest, who will be taking part in some but not all of the group itinerary. As her interest is broader, and she will spend some time looking at other aspects of Morocco.

You would at any time be free to choose another activity.

The staff at the riad are also very helpful, and will happily offer suggestions or assistance.

We can also arrange use of local  Mobile phones in Morocco which could be useful to spend part days with the group.

Please drop me a line if you have any other questions.

    Warm wishes

    Sarah

  • Hi Becky,

Mine stays at home and is really happy with that arrangement...he loves me very much but he's really not that into jewelry, so the thought of having to spend hours in jewelry shops is just not his favourite idea of a nice trip. He does sometimes end up in jewelry stores though, when we go to Cairo, and bravely drinks tea after tea while I go through every square inch of the place, but I have to promise him we will not spend days in the souqs :). So if it is only jewelry, he is not coming. (of his own accord)

  • Ok this is perhaps a silly question - what do the partners do if they are not interested in jewellery? has anyone been on the tour with - in my case - a husband?

Have you ever had someone join in for some of the tour but not all?

    Becky

    Another of Faouzi's stunning creations.

His work is seen all over Morocco, and will soon be featured in my online gallery.

If you are a designer, and would like to exhibit alongside the best in the world...drop me a line!
